Basic Information

 - Full name: Polyethylene terephthalate film.

- Production process: Usually the thick sheet is first made by extrusion method, and then the thick sheet is stretched into a film of uniform thickness by stretching method.

 Performance Characteristics

 - Physical properties: high strength, tensile strength comparable to aluminum film, 9 times that of PE film; abrasion resistance, stretch resistance, tear resistance; good thermal stability, long-term use temperature up to 120°C, short-term use temperature up to 150°C; low thermal shrinkage; good flexibility, elongation at break is 30%-70%, can perfectly fit various shapes of objects.

- Chemical properties: good chemical stability, can resist the corrosion of most common chemicals, but not resistant to strong alkali; non-toxic and tasteless, in line with environmental requirements, easy to recycle.

- Optical properties: high transparency, light transmittance up to 90% or more, low haze, high gloss, no glare reflection, can transmit light without distortion, maintain the clarity and brightness of the object.

 Common types

 - PET high gloss film: good transparency, low haze, high gloss, mainly used for high-grade vacuum aluminized products and laser anti-counterfeiting base film.

- PET transfer film: high tensile strength, good thermal stability, low heat shrinkage, smooth and clean surface, good peelability, mainly used as a carrier for vacuum aluminizing, forming aluminized cardboard.

- PET reflective film: has excellent optical properties, flat and smooth surface, good thermal stability, small shrinkage, light aging resistance, applied to reflective requirements of billboards, traffic reflective signs and so on.

- PET chemical coated film: Enhance the surface properties of PET film by chemical coating method, improve printing adaptability and bonding of vacuum aluminized layer.

Application field

PET film has good chemical stability, specific chemical resistance performance is as follows:

 - Corrosion resistance: Resistant to corrosion by most common chemicals (e.g. acids, organic solvents, etc.), with more stable performance in general chemical environments.

- Limitations: not resistant to strong alkali, contact with strong alkali may lead to the destruction of the membrane structure or performance degradation.

- Environmental characteristics: non-toxic and odorless, meets the requirements of environmental protection, and easy to recycle, has certain advantages in chemical stability and environmental protection.
